Outdoor decorating with Make it Fun®

This month’s fun Floracraft® theme was Outdoor decorating…with

supplies

I came up with this succulent holder…that doubles as a party treat holder! succulent planter made with foam!

Ice cream cone holder for party

to make: I found a cup that was small enough and just traced circles.

circles out of foam

and used a Sytrocutter® plus to cut out the circles (it actually melts it! so fun!) styrocutter double check size — check size Then cut sides — cut sides I used the knife for this part–It’s so great to cut straight lines! cut foam with knife Here are the pieces I used (I didn’t put a bottom on it because if I was going to put treat in it I didn’t want them stuck inside! sytrofoam pieces

Then cover with smooth finish! It’s the best! Fills in all the holes and it’s so light! smooth finish

I attached the sides with styroglue® and connectors

glue and connectors Then Paint. I think this would be super cute a funky color–a bright teal. Paint it gray to look like concrete or brown like wood!

Then for an industrial look I added these corner brackets I found at Home Depot! corner

These succulents are fake (finally! ones I can’t kill!!) You can get them from the Floracraft ® brand! (I’ve seen them at Walmart!) I love them! they look so real! succulent

I love that I can use it for more than one purpose! popcorn holder

I love that you can dish up ice cream before the party and place this in the freezer!  treat holder You even make one that is big enough for mason jars or cups to put your utensils in!

I also love this fun anchor idea:
