It’s thrift store week!–hide a book!

I love a good theme. and this week is all about thrift store finds. (I love a good thrift store too.) Sometimes you go in and leave with nothing. Sometimes you hit the jackpot….this week was jackpot week.

First find: a book

I love the babysitters club. I felt a special bond with Claudia. She was an artist and had candy hidden all around her room. We were like twins. I made a version of this book in high school to hide candy or whatever I was currently hiding from my sister. I totally loved it. I felt like a spy. I felt like Claudia.

Thrift store book $1

Took a knife and started hacking into it.
Just made a rectangle and used the before pages as a guide and went deeper and deeper (I’m in about 600 pages.)
Mod podge the inside. If I had clamps I would have used them…instead I just placed some heavy books on it. while it dried.  Then, I mod podged again.
Fill with your most prized possesions
blends in and no one will be the wiser.
