Giant Chalkboard

Awhile ago I showed you my giant chalkboard that is in my kitchen. Because my kitchen wall is huge and I needed something to fill the space.

This is giant chalkboard 2.0. I painted my wall in my kitchen white…and since I was already painting…I decided to make it EVEN bigger..and frame it out in white instead of wood! Lighter and Brighter!

I added another foot of chalkboard–It’s painted directly onto the wall!

and instead of using the curtain rod like in my first post…I had some rain gutter left over from THIS project and so I just used that!

The original version had home sweet home on it…but I switched that out to my living room wall

So now we get to use this for funny quotes, calendar, reminders, notes, and my kids like to practice their spelling lists on it!

Here is a wide shot…I’ve actually switched out the rug. I redecorate a lot.

I also want to paint my kitchen table (husband is putting his foot down!..probably cause it’s brand new!) But I want it white and distressed and more farmhousey!

I ALSO want to swap out the light fixture!

Something like this

or this

Always an ongoing list of things to do!
