Craft tip Tuesday–get rid of those glue gun hairs!

If you are a regular user of your glue gun –you know that with your glue gun comes those dreaded glue gun HAIRS! Strings that lay across your project and drive you crazy! (or at least they drive me crazy!)  Today I’m going to show you how to get rid of them! SO EASY!

First! Let’s talk about the best Hot glue gun!

I love adtech (the brand!) They carry lots of different- Big, small. Low heat. high heat. I even love the precision one if you are gluing small things!

If you are starting out-I think this gun is the best starting point!

Okay. Now that we have your glue gun… and used it– we are left with the strings (or hairs!) Let’s get rid of them!

You can use either your hair dryer or heat embossing tool if you want one! You want it hot enough to melt the strings..but not hot enough to reheat up the glue. You won’t want to touch it until it cools back down! You can leave fingerprints! But that might be a cool project too!

It works kind of like magic and it’s pretty fun to watch!

(I hot glue directly onto a hot glue mat and when it cools, it peels right up!)

You can make these fun cake toppers using this method!

or any of these freakin awesome hot glue gun projects!
