Vinyl phone charger decal

I woke up this morning….with no intention of making this post. But when I went to charge my phone (because my hone was almost dead because of watching My crazy ex girlfriend on netflix) and the charger was gone.

again. Three iphones, two ipads, and two ipods in this house…and we have like 1 charger (no…..we have 10. only 1 that we know where it’s at.)

and I got mad. MAMA JUST WANTS TO CHARGE HER PHONE!

and so here you get a tutorial on my new phone charger.

I used Expressions Vinyl adhesive vinyl and a silhouette cameo .

and I wanted to show you how I got it cut….because cutting small decals in vinyl can be tricky!

I got my design all ready. This requires two colors. black outline and orange beak. I like to color coordinate it so I know what needs to cut appropriately.

When cutting vinyl you want to slow that speed down…wwaaaaayyyy down. You click on the medium you are using

and then it will open up your settings. It will tell you what you need your blade at…but that is where you can slow your speed down.

If your blade settings aren’t exactly right

Make sure to check out the cut settings on expressions vinyl to get the perfect cut! (They also have cricut cut settings)

After you cut out…you weed the vinyl! you can check out the basics here:

Sometimes even when you have got the cut settings right and slowed ti down, the vinyl still can move a little when you cut. (those eyebrows are sooooo small.) Sometimes I kind of piece it together using the weeding tool. I take it off using the sharp point and just place it where it goes.

I guarantee that my kids will still steal it. BUT at least I can prove that this one is MINE!

Also…since I was using scraps–I put it on my mat and forgot to put load cut mat and accidentally cut the top of my mat. omg.

I want to put this on everything.

Expressions vinyl has a great video on facebook showing how to cut vinyl small!
