Guys. I have a new friend. Her name is Tanya and she’s so stinking crafty! She is putting together a cute Valentine’s Brunch and wanted to make Bath bombs for prizes. And me being the annoying blogger that I am told her to snap some photos of the how to! And I’m glad I did! These Valentines bath bombs just turned out so cute! (and I feel bad calling them Valentines because I would take a heart bomb for Mother’s day or my birthday or because it’s Tuesday.Â
Here are the supplies:
- 1 cup Baking Soda
- 1/2 cup citric Acid
- 1/2 cup epsom salt
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 2 1/2 tbs coconut oil
- 3/4 tbsp Water
- 2 tsp essential oil of your choosing
- Food coloring!
bowls and molds!
Here are the things you might not have on hand:
Whisk together baking soda, corn starch, Epsom salt and citric acid.
and then in another bowl mix together your coconut oil, water and essential oil
Then you are SLOWLY going to add the wet to the dry. A few drops at a time! If you go to fast the wet will cause the dry to fizz up!
You can check out the video to see how she did it!
Time to mix in the food coloring! (use a glove or you will have some colorful hands!)
Think of some fun color combinations! Red and blue is going to make purple. Â red and yellow will make orange etc!
Tanya also added some CONFETTI! (it’s edible so should dissolve in the bath!) Check out the video to see how cool the confetti looks!
And you need some fun molds to make these bath bombs with! The round clear ornaments can be used time and time again…but the hearts and lips are so fun and festive! Press the mixture into the mold!
and then let dry for 24 hours! You can see the little heart confetti! And they smell so good!Â
My kids love bath bombs just as much as I do so they would be thrilled to get these for Valentines Day!Â
You can grab some free printables that you can put with your bath bombs here:Â https://www.agirlandagluegun.com/2015/09/getting-some-me-time-and-how-to-make-bath-bombs.html
Thanks miss Tanya! Love you!

Dumb question: I really want to make some of these for gifts, but since there is food coloring involved; is this going to stain people’s skin? LOL! I’m not trying to be a negative nancy, I just really want to know. LOL! My thinking is: maybe since you would have a whole lot more water, such as a bath tub full, and it’s such a small amount of food coloring that it won’t stain? LOL! I don’t really know!?!?

We tried out some in a small bowl and stuck our hands in…and they weren’t stained at all. So I imagine that a whole entire bath tub won’t be nearly concentrated enough to stain!
