I get so excited for Christmas—(for numerous reasons!) But I LOVE that we get snail mail! Cards and photos and correspondences! I’m going to show you fun ways to jazz up your snail mail with Scotch® Expressions Tapes ….with a fun Christmas card holder! You can find Scotch® Expressions Tapes in the crafting section at your local Walmart (mine was in the scrapbooking aisle…) I love Scotch® Brand tape–So many fun colors–and you can use them to jazz up any everyday product!
Here is my loot I came home with!
Here’s how to make the Christmas card holder
cut a piece of wood to whatever size you fancy! You can paint it or stain it! I covered the star with Scotch® Expressions Tapeand trim away all the access! Then added stripes to the tops of clothespins–and trimmed those as well!
I found these burlap strip in the ribbon aisle…just layed it down the middle and glued on the ends.
glued on the star–added some bakers twine for added fun and then glued on clothespins evenly spaced apart (making sure that they are flipped and facing opposite directions)
I couldn’t decide if I liked the Scotch® tape along the sides as well…what do you think?
Then I kind of went crazy! Scotch® Create has that effect on me!) Let’s start with making an envelope. I found a 12×12 pack of kraft paper. Cut each one in half and folded it up. I drew lines with a ruler–this scores the paper and makes it easier to fold. Tape it up with Scotch® Brand tape and decorate!I also found these fun wood crafts at Walmart… You can lay over your Scotch® Expressions Tapes and use a knife or small scissors to cut away the extra!I just add a little piece of Scotch® Brand tape and taped them onto the envelope sleeves!
Perfect for hand drawn cards for your teachers, gift cards, even invitations!
What is fun about these is that you can just pop them off and use them as ornaments on the tree!
(You can also put these on just regular cards!)
Check out this fun bow you can do (put the sticky sides together and then fold into a bow!)
And while you are at it…make matching cards!
or add your Christmas family photo!
You can also cover the inside of store bought envelopes! Seriously cute and easy way to get awesome results!
I had this package of ABC letters…
Cover with tape and cut away the access like above! Cute on a gift bag!!!
So many ways to use them!
