a fun festive banner…made easy with Expressions Vinylheat transfer vinyl is so fun! first…I got THIS
design—(I use a silhouette…just for your fyi.) I found a clover and used it to fill in (just right click and duplicate for lots!)
Then moved the big clover off and cut.
You actually load heat transfer vinyl upside down…so whatever you are cutting needs to be flipped (mirror image)
peel away all the vinyl that isn’t part of your design (I have to admit..this is my favorite part!)
okay…after it all ready gather your supplies! I cut a basic banner shape and ironed on the vinyl (center it)and since the shamrock is pretty big so each spot needs a PRESS of 15 seconds. (this shamrock took me 4 presses…so a whole minute!)
Slowly peel up the carrier sheet –if any piece tries to come up with it then lay it back down and iron it again!Â
Then I made some binding for the edges! Just cut strips and ironand sew around.
I ran to Joanns to grab more dark green ric rac to finish off the egges…and found apple green. Â so a crafters got to do what a crafters got to do!!!
and just hot glued it around the edges with my hand dandy glue gunÂ
and hot glued some to the dowel!
cute door decoration! prefect for St. Patrick’s day!Â
check out my junque bows for more green goodness!
