Who knew that amazing magnetic dish would be so useful! Great for organizing all the things! PLUS Add some paint to make them any fun color! You can seriously find a place to put these magnetic bowls anywhere and everywhere.
My dad showed up with a bunch of magnetic dish /bowls.
and asked if I had a use for one.
andI said yes, and took one. (mainly because I’m a hoarder of all things)
and went home.
and realized I needed about 30 more.
(found these at harbor freight but you can get some HERE)
all they needed was  a little shot of primer and then spray paint…
and then I put one in about each room of my house.
Magnetic dish uses:
#1 This one is my favorite. right by my makeup. I lose these stupid things everywhere. love that they have a special place (have you used these twisty bobby pins? amazing. two can hold all my hair…and I have cousin it amount of hair)
#2 I put one in my office desk drawer. perfect for all those push pins and paper clips!
This would be cute if you have a wall to put all your kids stuff on. like a homework station
(did you know they sell magnetic paint? they do. it’s a primer too so you can paint over it and never know it’s there until you want to use it. just an FYI!)Â
#3 one by the sewing machine…to hold all your straight pinsÂ
(which happens to be right by the file cabinet…which is metal.)
#4 you could use one for rings or earrings…or any jewelry (some stick some don’t–try it out beforehand)#5Â IÂ have one for all those stray nails…screws…bolts…nuts…Kind of nice to keep them from rattling around in a drawer!
so…what would you use your magnetic dish for?

Harbor Freight…little known store of awesomeness! Storage, magnetic dishes, handled suction devices (super cheap-o alternative to quilting ruler suction handles)… Also where I inexpensively aquired my husband’s stocking stuffers for last Christmas. I love that stinkin store!! And the coupons! They always have a super-supply of coupons & sales. ::swoon::

Kitchen: on the fridge for random paperclips & safety pins I can never find in the junk drawer
childcare desk: push pins for the bulletin board
childcare kitchen drawer for the little things that get buried
scrapbook room: oh my heavens… anythign that would fit 🙂

Love those twisty bobby pins! I got them before I got my hair cut, then felt like an idiot for getting my hair cut… but they still work in my shorter hair!! Love that you can put the bowls upright and the stuff still stays in them!

I want to know more about magnetic paint. How strong is it? Like, if I primed a wall with it, then wanted to get a piece of paper to stay on that wall (like a schedule for our family), would I be able to just put a paper clip on top of the paper on that wall and it would stick? Wouldn’t that be so cool looking?
Kimbo says
it’s not super strong…but i think it would hold a piece of paper for sure….
